Lakes Aquarium Gives The Star Treatment To LA Residents

Submitted by Karen on Thu, 2010-05-20 20:25

Residents of LA will receive the star treatment and red carpet welcome when they visit leading South Lakes visitor attraction Lakes Aquarium this May.

Until May 31, those who live in an LA postcode area will be able to visit the Aquarium at a phenomenally cheap rate, as the attraction charges just half price admission to the loyal, local population that support it all year round.

Entrance to the global-themed attraction will be just £4.47 for an adult and £2.97 for a child during the month of May, representing tremendous value and a great reason to base a day out around a visit.

Local residents can also be ambassadors for Lakes Aquarium, if they take friends along with them.  Every LA resident can take up to three guests, who will also qualify for half price admission.

All that is needed to benefit from this great reduction is some proof of residency within an LA postcode, such as a driving licence or utility bill. The promotion offers a fantastic opportunity to those wishing to catch up with the latest creature news, new talks from within the underwater tunnel, fun otter interaction sessions, Rockpool Rekkies and Morecambe Bay talks.

Children can also meet their favourite cuddly otter, Oscar, if they visit during the Bank Holiday weekend or Whitsun holidays.

Marketing Manager Cathy Burrows says: “Every year, we try to do something to reward and benefit our loyal local visitors.  We ran a similar promotion to this one in 2009 and it proved phenomenally popular.  It’s a great opportunity for local residents to bring children or grandchildren to see us, or for those who have guests visiting over the two Bank Holidays in May to entertain their visitors”.

With the offer even applying on the two Bank Holiday Mondays in May, the exceptional value that this promotion provides is set to please many of those living in LA.  Just don’t expect to be rubbing shoulders with Posh and Becks, as they won’t qualify!

Lakes Aquarium opens from 9am-6pm every day, with last admission at 5pm. More information is available at www.lakesaquarium.co.uk
